Despite the enormous benefits of being able to attend school
and get an education, the costs needed to send children to
school in Uganda are extremely prohibitively for the majority
of parents whether in cities or country sides.
The cost of school fees, uniforms, pens, papers, pencils, shoes and transport means, which means that a large number of children have no hope of attending school. Poverty levels make it difficult to develop any means or savings and most times money meant for school fees is instead spent on other needs such as food. Children not attending school are often left to spent their time roaming around, picking plastic materials, picking metal scraps or playing in streets

We have been looking at a certain piece of land of four acres, one that
is fertile enough for farming and really safe for the children.
All we need is $10000 to buy the land where we intended to build a new home for the children, place where they can be loved and looked after. Also a community center where we can engage the rest of the community in different activities like trainings, on family planning, life skills, a place where we can encourage agriculture so as to be able to sustain ourselves with food products grown by us and therefore allocate funds formerly needed to get food materials to other welfare areas
We want this home to a resting place, as well as a place of hope for the children. There will be caretakers skilled at handling the different challenges that these children face seeing that some are war children others are former street children, Orphans and some coming from violent homes Currently, when we have a community outreach we ask well wishers to provide us we space. It is here that we carry out most of our activities but it is not the most comfortable places and we cannot build permanent structures for shade as we only get assisted freely. With our own space we shall be able to set up an area where these children can sit, have food , share stories, play and rest comfortably.
